File Setup
- File Requirements: Print-ready PDF files
- Template
- Guidelines
- Download Our Guides: Ensure a more optimal print result by downloading our comprehensive print prep guides. These resources will provide detailed instructions for specific product types.
- Remove Hidden Layers: Delete any hidden layers that are not intended to be printed (e.g., setup guide layers or unused artwork). This will prevent unwanted elements from appearing in the final print.
- Single PDF Submission: Each job (including multi-page projects) must be submitted as a single PDF file. Ensure that all pages in the file are the same size for uniformity.
- File Orientation: Submit files with proper orientation to guarantee correct backing.
- Avoid Borders: It’s best to avoid using borders in your design. If the border is too close to the trim, it may appear off-center in the final print.
- File Bleed & Safety Margins: Ensure your file includes 1/8" bleed, and keep all important art and text within the safety margin. The more space within the safety margin, the better, to avoid cutting off critical elements during trimming.
- High-Resolution PDFs: Submit your PDF at high resolution (300 DPI) and ensure that all images are in CMYK color mode.
- Black Text/Type: For black text or type, use the following color values: C0, M0, Y0, K100.
- Rich Black for Large Areas: For larger areas of black, use the following color values to achieve a deep, rich black: C30, M20, Y20, K100.
